Quality Education Model

Appointed in 1999, the Quality Education Commission is charged with determining the amount of money sufficient to ensure that the state’s K-12 system meets the quality goals established in law and identifying best practices that lead to high student performance, as well as the costs of implementing those practices. The commission publishes its findings every biennium in the Oregon Quality Education Model.

The House Education Committee has scheduled an informational meeting to hear invited testimony on the Quality Education Model this Wednesday, May 24.
