OSBA Board members and staff traveled to Washington, D.C., for the National School Boards Association Advocacy and Equity Institute Feb. 2-4. The three-day event brings together school board members from all over the country and their state associations to network, learn about issues and meet with their congressional members to discuss federal issues that matter to their states. Oregon’s delegation met Sunday with each other and their peers to listen to speakers, including U.S. Rep. Suzanne Bonamici and keynote speaker Brandon Farbstein, and to discuss issues such as legislative impacts, student voice and school boards’ role. Nineteen of Oregon’s delegation also got together for some fellowship over dinner at the end of the day.#NSBA #Advocacy2025 #school #publiceducation #Education #educationmatters #educationforall #StudentSuccess #StudentAdvocacy #Oregon #osba #publicschools #schoolfunding #schooldistricts #schoolboardmeeting ...
