OSBA salutes all school board members in Oregon. January is your month! Start getting ready now.
Oregon has 1,452 board members serving school districts, ESDs and community colleges. They spend countless hours on board duties, balancing the need to provide a good education while cutting budgets, meeting new federal mandates and seeking public input about all of these issues along the way.
While the rewards are many, sometimes the thanks for sitting in these "hot seats" are few. OSBA encourages educators and community members throughout Oregon to thank these faithful servants for the critical work they do for children.
