The Oregon School Boards Association is coordinating the distribution of Brady Fund Grants to needy students again this year.

Please limit the total number of district applications to 30 students or less. Grants are limited to $25 per student and must be used for the purchase of school supplies or clothing or to help pay for vision and dental services. Any requests for medical care/assistance cannot be awarded.

Hard copies will not be accepted, please do not mail or fax us your applications.

Please use the following guidelines to complete the grant applications:

  • Must be an Oregon public school student;
  • One student per application; 
  • Priority should be given to those in need of clothes, vision or hearing services;
  • Rank applications 1-30 in order of need for your entire district (1 being the most needy child);
  • Give contact information of school district employee responsible for applications;
  • Note: financial need, family situation and other information pertinent to why the student should receive the grant is vital and kept confidential;

Grants are made without regard to race, religion, sex or station in life.

Applications or changes will be accepted until 5 p.m., on 10/24/2008.

All grants will be awarded and checks sent by 11/7/2008.

Checks must be cashed within 60 days.
