Who are we?
Founded in 1946 to serve Oregon school boards, OSBA now serves school boards as well as education service districts, community college boards, boards of public charter schools and the State Board of Education. OSBA helps locally elected citizens fulfill their complex public-education board roles as effectively as possible by providing leadership training, advocacy at the state and national level, labor relations assistance, and services related to policy, legal and financial, communications and public engagement. OSBA is governed by a 23-member elected board responsible for establishing legislative priorities and association goals.
