OSBA, in cooperation with the Oregon Center for Educational Equity, offers this module to help board members understand the role of race and ethnicity and the cultural issues that affect education and learning. Learn how society has viewed racial and ethnic differences through history. Discover the difference between equality and equity. Examine your role personally and as a board member from the perspective of race and culture and address strategies for overcoming inequities and closing achievement gaps. This course runs 50 minutes.
