Giant school bonds pass for four Oregon school districts
November 9, 2016
The four biggest school bonds on the ballot Tuesday in Oregon, worth a total of nearly $1.3 billion, all passed.
Those four – North Clackamas, Tigard-Tualatin, Gresham-Barlow and Sherwood – were among nine districts that saw bonds succeed. Other winners were Umatilla, St. Helens, Seaside, Monroe and Crow-Applegate. Eight bonds failed to pass: in Central, Jefferson, Blachly, Estacada, Molalla River, Riddle, South Umpqua and Vernonia.
Corvallis passed the only local school bond levy on the Oregon ballot.
