 2016 Resolution

The following resolution was adopted by the OSBA membership during electronic voting Nov. 14 - Dec. 16, 2016:

  • Resolution 1 (109KB) adopts the proposed 2017-18 OSBA Legislative Policies and Priorities

2014 Resolutions

The following resolutions were adopted by the OSBA membership during electronic voting Nov. 15 - Dec. 15, 2014:

  • Resolution 1 (458KB) adopts the proposed 2015 OSBA Legislative Policies and Priorities
  • Resolution 2 (466KB) amends the OSBA Constitution to modify the process for adoption of OSBA's Legislative Policies
  • Resolution 3 (474KB) amends the OSBA Constitution to allow appointment of OSBA Board and Legislative Policy Committee members from a contiguous region if certain conditions are met. 

2013 Resolution

The following resolution was adopted by the OSBA membership during electronic voting Nov. 18 - Dec. 13, 2013:

2012 Resolutions

The following resolution was adopted by the OSBA membership during electronic voting Nov. 12 - Dec. 14, 2012:

2011 Resolutions

The following resolution was adopted by the OSBA membership during electronic voting Nov. 14 - Dec. 15, 2011:

  • Resolution 2  (22k This file is in Adobe Acrobat PDF format.) amends the Constitution to allow consecutive terms for the secretary/treasurer.

The following resolution was rejected by the OSBA membership during electronic voting Nov. 14 - Dec. 15, 2011:

  • Resolution 1 (25k This file is in Adobe Acrobat PDF format.) amends the Constitution to allow OSBA Legislative Policy Committee to override membership-approved legislative policies and priorities.

2010 Resolutions

The following resolutions were adopted by the OSBA membership during electronic voting Nov. 15 - Dec. 15, 2010:

  • Resolution 3 (32k This file is in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Click here to download.) adopted the proposed 2011 OSBA Legislative Policies and Priorities.

The following resolution was rejected by the OSBA membership during electronic voting Nov. 15 - Dec. 15, 2010:

  • Resolution 1 (26k This file is in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Click here to download.) would have amended the OSBA Constitution to provide that the dues of the association may be increased annually by the Urban CPI as approved by the OSBA Board of Directors.

2009 Resolutions

The following resolutions were adopted by the OSBA membership during electronic voting that took place Nov. 16 - Dec. 15, 2009:

Click here to download.) amended the OSBA constitution to establish that when a member district, education service district or community college boundary spans more that one OSBA region, that member board must declare in which region it intends to vote and vote only in that region.
  • Resolution 2 (20k This file is in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Click here to download.) amended the OSBA constitution to establish a finance committee in the OSBA constitution to monitor, review and recommend investments, investment policy and the financial practices of the association.
  • Resolution 3 (20k This file is in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Click here to download.) amended the OSBA constitution to allow the OSBA board to select its officers and discontinue the practice of referring a slate of officers to the membership for ratification. 
  • Resolution 4 (20k This file is in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Click here to download.) amended the OSBA constitution to add two OSBA board of director positions to represent the regions of the immediate past president and president, respectively, during their terms in those offices when those officers come from regions that have only one representative.

2008 Resolutions

The following resolutions were adopted by the OSBA membership during electronic voting that took place Nov. 17 - Dec. 15, 2008:

  • Resolution 2 (21k This file is in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Click here to download.) amended the OSBA constitution to guide our access to the endowment fund created when the OSBA Health Insurance Trust was terminated. It defines rules for accessing the endowment principal.
  • Resolution 3 (27kThis file is in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Click here to download. ) adopted the 2009 OSBA Legislative Policies and Priorities.
